Had a really good morning on Benbrook. Limited out in two hours after spending the first couple of hours hunting them down. All fish caught on light-colored hand ties in 16-20 fow, about 15-17 feet down. Tried trees and brush piles early and only managed a handful of dinks before searching on main lake ledges and humps.

Good work Cellis! Where did you launch at Benbrook? I usually launch at Rocky Creek park but the lake level is a little too low right now.

I wanted to launch at Mustang, but I wasn’t sure if it was open, so I went to Benbrook Marina. Water there is only about 2 feet deep.

I did go back toward Mustang and tried about five trees with no bites and only marking smallish fish. That was enough to make me look elsewhere.

Was out there last Friday and caught a couple hogs. Got tired of driving through a minefield of stumps two inches under the water, and moved away to deeper water.
