is anyone catching bass in the back of the creeks on Lake Fork? Im still catching fish on points in 12 - 17 feet of water. Just wondering. I havent needed to push back that far yet.

Thanks,

Okay. No replies. I'll spend part of the day tomorrow back in the creeks. I'm thinking the lake needs to cool down a bit more and these 85 degree days are giving us a long slow cool down. There are still a lot of shad out in the main lake

We are at fork today. Very slow for us. 3 unders on boat docks. North of 515. Never fished up here before. Been more than 10 years since I've on Fork. Most crappie guys are catching some nice ones. They say slow but steady catches.

Yes those are local fish. But as the shad migrate to the back of the creeks as the lake cools, there will also be bass migrating from the main lake to the creeks following the shad. I'm still catching bass main lake. I'll just fish both areas. I definitely think it is only going to get better as the surface temps fall.

There are some fish in the backs of creeks busting shad. You can also catch them on main lake points in deeper water right now, too.

Just got back... tons of bait fish...but, the fish I caught were really skinny and tight to cover... not chasing moving baits consistently. The temps went from 72 to upwards of 77-78 over the past two days with the direct sunlight.

If I was to do it all over, I would stay out of the creeks and fish points and secondary points more than I did... just my 2 cents.
