Anyone ever use the Troll Jacket or Troll Sock?
Just curious if it actually holds up.

I think he's talking about this wrap for your TM cables. Got this pic from the TFF Boats for Sale section

I've don't have one. I've seen one on a friend's boat. Haven't heard any complaints.

I bought one new last December. It faded so badly that it was grey in February. By April, the thing had deteriorated so badly that it was crumbling. I threw it away at that point.

Great idea, but a terrible choice in materials. I had an upholstery shop make me a new one using a 5’ long by 6” scrap of BMW convertible top fabric. I wanted it red to match my boat seats. This new one is as good as the day it was made. Cost me $20 to have one made.

Almost EVERYTHING THMarine that I have bought for my boat has been TRASHED after it failed to function as it should. In very short order. Including my THMarine Hydrowave. It lasted about 3 weeks before the screen quit working, a couple months later, all it would do is make rapid clicking noises. Lol.

THMarine “anything” is garbage.

After reading the above, I was just thinking that you guys wanting to try the jacket might give it a good spraying with aerospace 303. The jacket does sound like an idea to try.

It will deteriorate with sunlight. Mine turned inside out looks better at least black for some time now. Instead spending on bling you can try this for a fraction of price.

bought a 7 ft long by about 6 inch wide cable wrap off Amazon. made of black neoprene with a strip of velcro down one edge. wraps right around the T/M cable and works well. no fancy name on it!!! but it was $12.00

I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning !!!

I have one on my boat and have no complaints. Was on it when I bought it. My boat is in a garage when I'm not fishing, so it doesn't get much exposure to the elements.

I have had mine on my boat for over a year now and it still looks good.

There is some loose threads from time to time and I just cut them off.

I keep mine covered when not in use so the UV rays don't get to it. cheers

Mine faded pretty quick, and my boat is kept inside the shop. Not coming apart but disappointed in how it looks now.
