All I can say on ammunition is WOW. I'm grateful that I bought a bit of ammo last year & earlier this year when I did (mostly Garand food and some 45 Colt).

I gather that the manufacturers are cranking it out as fast as they can, and it's selling as fast as it hits store shelves. So unreal to go onto say, Midway Usa and do a search for 45 ACP and see that they have only one type in stock at $2.05 per round.

Note, I'm not complaining. At least not yet. I'm just amazed that 45 ACP steel cased ammo is going for $25+ per box.

I no longer shoot my pistol. Lack and/or price of ammo is the reason. S&W 40 cal is impossible to find locally. Luckily shotgun shells are in abundance. I heard material shortage is another reason why supplies are low.

I reentered the 9mm game recently but thankfully stocked a bunch last year. Can't find reasonably priced 9mm now though. I refuse to be raped at check out. I'll hold out.

Yeah, saw some typical 9mm fmj range ammo the other day, $50.00 a box. I have plenty.

make an acct. on here and click the notify when in stock, they are good about notifying and the prices stay pretty reasonable.

Will do that. I've bought from them before - come to think of it, the 30-06 ammo cans came from them.

Ammo and Lysol Spray. You would think the companies that make these would be hiring and running 24 hour shifts producing product. The old addage "Make hay while the sun is shining" comes to mind. I saw a commercial on TV yesterday for Lysol Spray, and I wish the CEO of that company was near me, so I could pummel his or her face.

Some companies are way behind the curve. All of the stores now have isles and isles chock full of ethanol hand sanitizer, hand sanitizing wipes, etc. Where were they when the shelves were bare?

Guns and ammo right now are hard to find. Supply and demand. It's not that hard.

Bob, I finally got stocked up on lysol by calling different Family Dollar Stores asking if they had it, they will only sell one per person but if you can find a couple of stores and make a quick route, you will be good to go too. Especially if you have someone riding shotgun. It's off brand but it's the same chit.

While all the focus is on guns and gun control, I've always seen it as the easiest way to control the guns is to make it hard to get ammo.
Years ago I started picking up a box or two of ammo every time I was in a Academy, Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc. rather than to buy more guns.
Today, the barrels of my guns would probably fall off before I shot all the ammo I have.

Same here. I am well stocked, so are both my son in laws. And so are several of my neighbors that I chat with.

I never stocked up, I have 50 rounds or so for any of the firearms I used to own before I sold them all. It’s expensive to run rounds down the range

I used to go to the range once a quarter and I'd typically shoot around 200 rounds per visit. No way I can do that now. Can't replace what I shoot at anything close to a reasonable cost and my stock is about as low as I want to get. And it doesn't seem like we're getting out of this anytime soon. frown

I underestimated the kung-flu hysteria and only have a few hundred rounds of various calibers. Not enough to go out and target shoot. Bummer.
