I went to Converse City Park for the first time today. Got on the water around 10 with my kayak. It's nice for in the city. I had pretty good luck, but I don't think there's a lot of fish here. I didn't see a large amount of surface feeding, and didn't see anyone else catch anything besides me. I was able to boat 2 bluegills and 2 healthy bass that fought hard. I caught them in areas that you can really access from the shore. The bigger one was around 3 pounds I think. They both got hooked through their jaw, I hope they survive after I released them. Didn't see any catfish but the pond seems fairly deep so I'm sure there's a bunch on the bottom. Good day overall, but like I said most people didn't seem to be catching anything so keep that in mind. Pics to come.
