Well, my first 2 trips to Weatherford were poor ... to say the least. I know by reading the results from the Thursday tournaments that the fish are there and catch-able.

First trip resulted in 1 little dink on a crankbait near the dam.

Second trip was worse ..... 2 white bass and a DRUM scared ... also near the dam.

I've fished mid lake points with cranks and worms, and also threw a few topwater baits in places to no avail.

Any pointers? confused 3

I'm frustrated enough now that I'm going to figure this place out before I abandon ship and go elsewhere. fish

Keep trying different spots with different lures. (Like I know anything)

Iโ€™ve never figured the lake out either but almost never go there. Someone at the ramp recently told me 10โ€ worms around the docks.
I think itโ€™s too small to follow any real seasonal patterns.

Tough lake. Keep doing what you are doing. Figure out the small changes within the areas you are fishing. Thats where the fish are (sometimes lol). Some days docks are good. Other days they arent anywhere you expect them to be. The lake fishes way different from most lakes in the area.

Keep on keepin' on

Fish the docks, Lots of them have brush. Very rare to find fish just in an open bank out there for me. They are always near something.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'll keep at it and do some serious research when I'm there.
