Hey All, Been really frustrated with my small production pot. I ONLY use pure lead and have fluxed it twice. Given plenty of time for it to heat up. Used a paperclip like it says to clean the pouring tip and all I get is a constant drip but no consistent pour from my 7--- through 10 setting. Really, really frustrated. Could have poured a 100 heads by now. Any tricks or suggestions I haven't tried?

hmmm maybe you got a bad pot? Has it always dripped? I have not had any problems with mine its a lee also. I have never fluxed it or used a paper clip. I only put my setting at 4 for 1/16 and larger and 5 for 1/32 and smaller

I bought a production pot IV about 35 years ago and poured many thousands of jig heads, bullets, and other things. I always left my pot full after use to slow the rust and deteriation. After heating my unit and before pouring, I used a log metal spoon with insulated handle to scrap the pot lining and bring the residue to the surface. I used the spoon to remove the residue and stirred in wax to clean the lead. After years of pouring, the adjustable stem that regulates your lead drop will wear out and the unit will start dripping. Once I encountered problems and wasn't able to fix it with paperclip, I sent the old unit to Lee and they allowed me to buy a new unit for half price under their warranty. I have found their employees very helpful on the telephone.....
