I'm still trying to find them myself, but I caught several on a black and chartreuse Stump bug in 14 to 18 ft Saturday.

Fished fork hard today and had one crappie. Fished timber bridges and brush piles. Front= LOCK JAW. Colors Blk/Char Watermelon/Red Blue/white, Electric Chicken, you needed a 9 volt shocker to buy any fish today!

Stick with timber in 17 to 23 feet of water. Color doesn't matter much right now. Its more presentation. If the bait falls below the fish, you can write that fish off. The jig, or minnow has to stay above the fish right now.

We smacked em today, well I guess yesterday now (9-30-20) in those depth ranges. I know a couple of other guides who also smacked out there using the same technique.

They are really starting to get into a strong fall pattern, so be patient with em. It will be getting very easy in short order.
