Slow day today. My best spot last week didn’t produce a single fish today. Jigs did about as good as the minnows. Fished 10:00-2:00, water temps 76.

Nice!

I’m going to be bass fishing the next 2 1/2 weeks and perhaps most/all of the fall. Those water temps are dropping quick.

We struggled today, and my back up plan had another boat camped out on it. Rather than run the lake in that wind, we just called it.

We got up into pilot point creek and just kept going fishing every cedar that held fish, they were 20' down. I stay with the crappie untill 10-15, after that it gets tough, been that way for me for 25 years up there, but this is the first time I can remember the cold fronts coming in early like this. Will probably be my last trip up there for crappie till next May. Had a great year up there, and the live scope was a big part of it as I have found some old favorite trees. Freezer is full with over 500 fillets.

I went out Friday and managed to bring home 15 after 8 hours fishing. Still looking for that elusive one man limit. 😆 But I learn something from you guys every time I read your reports.

Had to do it with jigs as the little grocery store was out of minnows. The delivery guy didn’t show up.

Very nice! Had some buddies do well up there too recently. Going to get out there myself soon. Can't wait for the winter bite!
