Went today and got there first light. I was in no hurry but wanted to bass fish early and then follow up with some blue gills. I also wanted to mess a little more with the live scope system that I had recently installed. Anyway I caught several nice bass with a C-Rig early. I tried topwater and did not get a strike which was a little disappointing. I did see a few bass that were floundering and obviously not going to make it and also some bigger shad and several carp that were floating belly side up and were already dead. 10 fish in total. Don't know if the front/wind did a quick number on the oxygen levels or not. I got onto the bluegill shortly after 9:30 this morning. The first place that I went the bite was not very steady. Probably caught around 20+. No great big gills but several eaters. I moved to the timber for the rest of my time and got into them pretty good. I caught about a dozen really big ones and a bunch of nice eaters. But I did put them all back. The action was pretty much non stop for the several hrs that I was there. All in all it was a pretty good day.
