Went to my old standby this morning. Fished for about 4 hours till the wind blew me off the lake. Didn’t keep anything today. Caught 26 crappie with 2 of them being short. One sandbass that was about 12”. Fish were really aggressive. 12-20’. Didn’t pay any attention to the water temp. About 10-12 would have been over 11”. Some really nice fish for Bardwell.. Biggest is in the picture below. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/09/full-53204-67737-1bc8c285_6331_4a74_ad23_d49686bea145.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/09/full-53204-67738-e9367673_fa38_48f7_8762_0ae3e91506d4.jpeg)

Thank you, but electronics are the key for me. I’ve learned something from my using Livescope, and that is to stop watching the screen and concentrate on the bite. I now find the timber or brush that is holding fish, then get the depth they are holding at, then just lookup from the screen and wait for the bite. I’ve taken Tommy Ezell’s advice to fish from the top down so as not to spook the other fish. It was hard to give up watching the fish bite, but I was missing to many fish by getting ahead of the actual thump. Now is the time to go. I haven’t seen a single brush pile that didn’t have multiple fish in it.

GOOD JOB &WTG Rodney! Thought about Bardwell myself this morning but wasn`t sure how the S /SE winds would effect lake conditions. What time did you get on the lake?

GOOD JOB &WTG Rodney! Thought about Bardwell myself this morning but wasn`t sure how the S /SE winds would effect lake conditions. What time did you get on the lake? I was fishing by 7:45. I even went over to the southwest corner and couldn’t take the wind. So I called it a day about 11:30.
