Run above the bridge? hmmm

Can you actually "run" above the bridge or would idling or trolling be the only way to get there?

When I drove over the bridge the first time I went I said "Well I can see why everyone fishes the other end!"! fish

Idle only. The creek markers do not designate safe travel. Floaters, transom destroying stumps.... once you are out of the creek trolling you will spend just as much time playing boat Tetris with the stumps and lay down fields as you do fishing... it’s a blast and if you are brave enough and patient enough you can get to some fish that have not see pressure.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways with a fishing rod in one hand, 10# LMB in the other, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and yelling "Wow! What a Ride!

The boat lane is well marked, but I would not suggest running, maybe a fast idle at best. Like they said above, too many floaters and stumps to ruin your day.
But yes, some of my best fishing has come above the bridge almost all the way to the back.

Been passed the bridge in my kayak a couple of times. It's a low yield area.

Absolutely agree, very, very low yield area, lots of wasps, too many widow makers, stumps in the creek channel galore, please don't risk it. That being said, I run on plane, from the boat ramp to way past the bridge.

10 responses and 9 are wiseazz worthless digs! This forum is getting better all the time.........COVID must be messing w/everyone’s mind. Certainly crushing some spirits. OP, I never thought it was wise to even run all the way to the bridge let alone past it. Not that much water above the bridge.....but it does look good.
