Yep where Iā€™m at now getting cut off on a rock is the only option. The gin clear water has forced a down size in line. Striper I normally go strait 20 seaguar invisix but shrinking down to 12 improved the catch rate. If your getting 4# plus striper the 8 is must have!! The backbone even with lighter tippet is a big help.



Just ordered an 8wt TFO NXT setup. WIll be throwing bigger flies and poppers for bigger pond bass. Will try for stripers eventually.
