It was SUPPOSED to be sunny. And it was around quitting time. Do they ever get it right? Lot's of fish caught today for most.

Someone asked why we don't post pictures of our fish like other clubs do. Because we don't have real weighin's. We measure each fish caught with both anglers observing the length, record the length and put the fish back in the water on the spot. No fish riding around in a live well for 8 hours getting stressed out and possibly dying. We then bring our score sheets in and the length is converted to pounds. That is also why you see fish with the same weight a lot. And that is also why we can count the slot fish.

All fish 10" and up count. Only their best 5 count.

Boaters

First Place went to Bob Roberts of Longview with 7 bass for 14.82 LB. with a 4.68 LB lunker caught on a c-rig.
Second Place went to Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 9 bass for 12.09 LB with a 2.61 LB lunker..
Third Place went to with Robert Gaylor of Lake Fork 7 bass for 11.15 LB with a 2.95 LB. lunker.
Fourth Place went to Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with 8 bass for 10.57 LB with a 3.02 LB lunker.
Fifth Place went to Bi;; Ailes of Sulphur S[rings with 6 bass for 8.99 LB with a 2.24 lunker.
John Womack caught the boater lunker of 5.71 LB on a drop shot.

Co-Anglers

First Place went to John Shinn of Van with 4 bass for 6.70 with a 3.31 LB lunker.
Second Place went to Alf Tuggle of Cypress Spring with 4 bass for 5.21 LB. with a lunker of 2.02 LB.
Third Place went to Greg Geisler of Lake Fork with 2 bass for 4.99 LB. with the co-angler lunker of 3.78.
Fourth Place went to Gary Gilmore of Ennis with 4 bass for 4.79 LB. with a 1.49 LB. lunker.
Fifth Place went to Ken Kielbas of Arlington with 3 bass for 4.14 LB with a 2.02 LB lunker..

We caught 95 keepers today which was 50 less than last time with 1 skunk.

The LFA fishes every Thursday except T-Day and Christmas on 2 different formats. A 5 fish limit we call LFA and a MLF style format where every fish counts we call Hard Core, 3 special tournaments and an end of year dinner. We are a club of 55+ seniors (Mostly) and are very liberal on members being for off vacations and medical issues.

Right now we are looking for more co-anglers. Bring your tackle and life vest and get to go out on Lake Fork for far less than you'd pay for a guide.
