My wife and I are going to Matagorda in October. We’re staying on the river but I really want to surf fish. I’m concerned that my f150 is 2wd. and I’ve never been on the beach in Matagorda. Is there going to be a place I can fish without going 10 miles. I’d rather not get myself stranded? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Also were staying close to the boat ramp on the river. Any advice for fishing that section of river in October?
This is my first trip and I’ve fished fresh water all my life so I’m a green horn out of my element. Lol
