Spent the day cleaning and oiling reels. Wiping down the rods. Restringing the ones that needed it. Organize the tackle in the boat. And went through my tackle, replacing hook, skirts, ect. Getting ready for fall. It was suppose to rain but the weather man was wrong again! Lol really didn’t want to fight the wind anyway. I usually do this about twice a year. Just before Spawn and just before fall. What’s everyone else schedule or what causes you to go over everything in the boat? Or as I joke to my wife about. My 19’ tackle box! Lol

I have nothing in my boat, except the essentials. I want it to run fast. All my baits are hanging in the Garage on pegboard. I carry a Backpack attached to the front pole seat. It gets a make-over for each lake that I am going to the day before for the baits and terminal tackle that will be used to fish the contours. - All 30 reels are on a spread sheet and go to be cleaned once a year as they are used for 6 months. I keep 15 in the boat for 6 months then change them out with the other 15 the second half of the year. - Line is changed depending on where I am going and the cover I will be fishing. This doesn't happen very often; as I am mostly fishing heavy cover and the slopes toward deep water. - I only use 15 plastics; so they stay in the Backpack all the time. Just have to restock the bags. Other stuff comes easy for seasonal changes. - I only throw 7 Spinner Baits; so they are always in the Pack ready to go. Two of each. - Top Water and cranks are there also. - Terminal Tackle box with hooks and etc.. gets a check with every trip.

I put two new hubs and bearings on the boat. And a greased spare hub to keep in the truck. New tires, including spare, went fishing from 6am-9:45am....all before I watched the cowboys game at 12:00. After the game I spent another hour in the boat getting rods changed for the Tuesday night lake. Now it’s Seattle vs Belachek.
