Looking for a little help here... Headed to Whitney tomorrow to spend time with one of my kids living in Waco... Honestly know nothing about the lake and was looking for a place to put in... Is the state park the best option??? TIA!

State parks good. Loafers west is good and Loafers ramp by the dam is open. I normally like to put in Mcown, probably the best setup on the lake

Ive been launching at loofers bend but looks like it might be a bit closer to launch at McCown, might try it there next time.

if youre striper fishing, the fish have been up on the north end , McCowen is probably the best spot.
