My grand kids want to catch a few fish. They live in North Dallas. Could any of you fine forum friendlies recommend a few spots they could drown a few worms. They can't wait to pose with their first catches. Thanks a lot, JP

I do not fish or live in your area. For what I do know I would look for city parks that have ponds or lakes in them. Fish by over hanging tree limbs, stumps, docks, etc. City parks are usually kid friendly. I would also google to search for places to fish in your area and research them to see if they are kid friendly fishing spots. There a lot of park ponds close to where I live and some of the most beautiful sites I see are kids fishing on a bank or dock with a parent or family member. Where ever you fish make it fun for them. Try Lake Ray Hubbard. The lake has lots of frisky bluegill. Without a boat I would try a public dock on the east side of the lake. You will have to search for the depth. Be sure to use live worms for bait. Just cut off about an inch and use a #8 gold Aberdeen hook. If you use a bobber make sure it is small.

You may also try Bachman Lake and/or White Rock...White Rock has a nice creek area on the north side off of NWST HWY and Lawther....Kids can explore around there too...!
