except for a big sky,there's not much to see in Montana until you get to the western part of the state and the Rocky Mountains......2nd pic is the aftermath of a forest fire near Glacier Natl. park..3rd pic is edge of Rockies also near Glacier Natl. park....

Yep, spent some time in eastern Montana. Absolutely nothing to look at.

Was that burnt area between Kiowa and St Mary? My wife and I traveled through there on our way to Many Glacier Lodge several years ago. Looks familiar.

Western Montana, plenty to see and do there, I was at Glacier NP just last week and hiked the Highline Trail

It's moderate to difficult, 11+ miles, but worth the effort.

Highly recommend visiting GNP if you like the mountains.
All levels of trails to explore plus good river and lake fishing for trout.
