The new fancy gate is installed and I was unable to enter with my window sticker. The information I manually entered did not work. 9/2 I received an e-mail from Lewisville Parks and Recreation directing me to a site called Amilia. I was able to create and account and retrieve Membership card. I have not tried the barcode on the membership card yet.

Yep you can't get in to the car parking lot or the ramp without either paying the $10 or if you have an annul pass they gave an option whether to get the bar code via Amelia or they would send you a key fob but you have to have something with the barcode on it to open the gate. I spoke to the ranger about it and he said you might still need to either enter you license number or phone number even with the bar code but he wasn't sure.

For future - Lewisville will no longer run the tower bay ramp after this year. The annual pass will only be good at lake park which they said would get the same kind of gates in October.

I sure hope this automated system is much, much improved over the previous automatic pay stations that never seemed to work.

I downloaded the Amilia app to my phone, logged in, clicked on account, then clicked my name and the barcode came up. I saved the screen shot to my photos so I hope to get right in this weekend.

I'm going this evening and will let you know if the barcode works. There is no place to turn around so if you pull up to the gate and it doesn't work, you are just going to have to pay again. Luckily this morning I went down there without my rig and was able to turn around.

I was there this am and it worked flawless. Scan code, enter plate and cell number, gate opened. They need to communicate it better, but it seemed to work fine for me.

Yes the barcode/Plate/Phone is required and it worked for me. Good luck all. Hopefully this keeps out those rental boat thugs!

I did wonder if you have an annual pass and the barcode why a need to put in your phone and license plate to enter - the ranger said it was set up that way so that if you paid to get in and left for whatever reason you could get back in the same day without having to pay again which you could always do with the annual pass - guess the machine couldn't handle the difference.

It is confirmed that the city of Lewisville is NOT planning on having annual passes for Tower Bay. This is a bummer for me because I launch solo and Lake park is not the ideal situation for me. The dock is far from the ramp and it is in open water.

I will be reaching out to the city to see if they will reconsider the annual pass for Tower Bay.

I hear ya! I've gotten so mad, sent so many emails to all levels, bitched, moaned about the management of Lewisville Parks it's pitiful. Amelia is a Canadian based outfit. Why are Canadians running my public city park?

I quit using tower Bay because the boat rental company that takes the park over. They monopolize the ramp, their customers take over the parking lot, block the ramp, etc. They made it hard to launch and are extremely rude.tomoeople trying to use this public park. Maybe this will stop them from doing so?

I called the City and complained to the Park and Rec director and was told they couldn't do anything about it unless they saw it happening, and since they don't work weekends.

Besides whining, I do have a question: who will take over Tower Bay in 2020?

Taxpayers paid to build it. Taxpayers pay to maintain it. Taxpayers are now charged to use it. SMDH.
