Is there a practical way to modify a Skeeter trailer with a fixed tongue to a hinged tongue? Is there a shop in Texas that is qualified to perform the work and end up with a trailer that looks good? Thanks for your input.

they have bolt on and weld on type.

good welding shop should be able to install it. brake stuff will need to be modified so it can fold.

I used to do them many years ago when doing structural warranty repair for several marine companies for the area. Mostly the removable tongues where you slide the tongue into a receiver. Then use a pull-pin to keep it in there. That way, no one can take your trailer without having the tongue with tube, if you remove the tongue and store it somewhere else.

Course, I'ma metal fabricator and welder too. And no longer do this type of work for the public. This is my personal Jon trailer without the recovered bunk boards on yet. They are in the background waiting to be installed.

Roadmaster in Haltom city, can modify any trailer. They do a lot of PWC trailering additions on the front of boat trailers.
