Fairly new to the Round Rock area. Have had the opportunity to explore a few lakes over the last several months -- Bastrop, Travis, Georgetown, Belton, Stillhouse Hollow. Haven't really done well on any of them. Bastrop was probably the best. I came from smallmouth country up in WA.
Georgetown and Stillhouse Hollow over the past month have been terrible for me. Thrown the whole arsenal at 'em, but only managed 1 on a crankbait near the marina at Stillhouse and can't get a bite at Georgetown lately. Son caught a nice 4+ pounder on a chatterbait when he was with me on Georgetown a week or so ago up near the entrance to the river. Been around the fish, but they won't bite any topwater or crankbait I've thrown. Had luck a while back with Texas-rigged finesse worms, but even that's not working lately.
Haven't been back to Travis in a few months. Could only get 'em to bit geen pumpkin with red flake centipedes or finesse worms.
One gentleman recommended skipping Georgetown and focus on Stillhouse Hollow and Belton.
Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Throw that top water spook on Belton all day long.

We call GT the beautiful barren bitch. Level is 14ft low now so that doesn't help. We have caught some good fish out of there. How were the zebs? They were pretty bad last time out a few months ago.
LBJ ain't bad except the pleasure boaters.

Zebs were terrible! Thought with water low, the bass would congregate. On the upside, the river section on the far west end past the trees was peaceful!

Georgetown is always tuff. I have "luck" with zoom trick worms on shakey heads. There are a few whites mid-lake and crappie up the river.

haven't fished it for yrs. but used to like canyon lake a lot, guadalupe is fun for guad bass and some large mouth, you can also get the stray striper on occasion.
I used to fish the rivers a lot, did pretty good a few times with some 5-6# lm.
it's been a long time tho.
