saw that printed on a T-shirt in a motorcycle shop and it certainly applies to the Alaskan highway...this picture taken in British Columbia,Canada.....you hear some stories from years ago about how a lot of the Alaskan highway was under construction or rough gravel/broken windshields with potholes but I never experienced any of that.....the highway was smooth,the shoulders were wide and trees/vegetation was cut back far enough so that an animal couldn't just jump out in front of you....very little traffic,almost no trucks,no signs/billboards,crossroads,houses or buildings......gas,food and souvenirs trading posts every 40 miles or so and small towns with motels/restaurants every 200 miles or so........just a relaxing,never boring drive every day through beautiful and unspoiled scenery.......

This is another wide open expanse picture that makes my soul feel peaceful.

It also speaks to me that I need to take that trip down the Alaskan Highway.
