Been reading up on binoculars. It seems like 7x50 are recommended for marine use in most articles I have read. The ones I have now have too much magnification and it causes them to blur easy due to shaking and boat rocking. Anyone have a favorite 7x50 marine set in the $100-$200 range they could recommend. Mostly used looking for surface fish and birds working.

I have a pair of Steiner Military-Marine 7x50's that I have kept in the boat for decades.

I also have a set of Nikon Monarch 10x42's and an older pair of Leupold 10x42's.

All of them can be used for your needed purpose and if you catch them on sale you can get them close to $200.00 or so with the exception of the Steiner's.

Too high of a magnification versus too small of an objective size is one of the biggest problems with eye strain. cheers

I have a set of Vortex Viper 10x50 that are truck binoculars and they are AWESOME!!!! A little above your price point, but I have also used and heard nothing but good things about Vortex Crossfire and the fit your price point and still have a lifetime warranty that covers anything and everything you could possibly do to a pair of binos.

Bid Dozer. Do the 10x have noticeably more shake than the 7x on the water?

If you don't brace them there will be more shake.

I always brace myself to keep it down if the boat is rocking in the waves.

Thanks for the info. I may be too old and too shaky for 10X.
