I am going to be fishing Grapevine for the first time tomorrow. I have an open back seat and would like to take someone that knows the lake well since I have never fished it and have a tournament in less than a month out there. Also looking for tips out there right now.not asking for spots just wondering what people are having good luck on right now. TIA! Also PM if you want to join and I’ll send my number over so we can figure out time, meeting spot, etc

I was out there on Saturday for a couple of hours and it was tough for me. I'd start on the dam bright and early. Then run around and fish main lake points and/or the backs of creeks. Good luck!

Thats my money fish

Are there any hazards or anywhere you need to be careful running on Grapevine?

Yea, the wake board boats are rediculous and they are out EARLY on calm mornings. Unfortunately, I haven’t caught many decent fish within 100 yards of the bank in the last month so the Ultrex has really been getting a workout!

Fish the dam and the tires it has been tough but once you find them you can typically catch a bunch. worst case go throw a spoon in the bubblers...

I think they turn them on still... I have been twice in the past two months each time it was on.

The water level has stabilized and they are biting near dark again. Dam or points they haven't moved back in the coves yet.
