welcome Sometimes I get in a funk over all the hassle with the boat and stuff. When this happens, I just go fish from the bank. Also, only chasing bass can get monotonous. Before I gave up all my equipment, I would try some other species. I overcame my last big freshwater fishing funk by pursuing the Texas Elite angler program and fishing for records. It brought a whole new aspect to fishing. In any case, I would wait at least a year before selling everything, unless you have a lot of money to replace your equipment. A pandemic may not be the best time to make that type of life changing decision.

And remember that there are fun fish to catch other than bass. roflmao

I have been there. Don't let you results be the reason you fish. Don't get caught up in chasing dock talk, new trends, ect. Just do what you love to do. For me its beat the bank. I live for the hook set on a Tx rig!

This is interesting. I struggled bad this spring and into early summer. Have not been back fishing since early May. I have had no desire. It is very unlike me to not want to fish. I might force myself to go out this weekend and try and rekindle the love.

They’re fun as hell to catch, though. 25 lb freshwater fish that fights like hell. Totally different type of fishing that can be actin packed where you’re running around re-baiting or multiple rods are going off. I wouldn’t do it all the time, but it’s great every once in a while
