If you over cook them, yes they all taste bad. And some ducks are just not good eating ducks, and some are nasty. But teal, cooked correctly, med to med rare is like filet mignon.. This is blue wing, one bite of this and you will be slobbering all over yourself.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Yeah if you over cook them, they all taste bad, and pretty much the same. But if both cooked correctly, both good, but not the same, mallard is a bigger steak for 1. And secondly, well, mallard is kind duck, and there is not a finer piece of meat.

Worked this weekend but I’m scouting Tuesday and hunting Wednesday and thursday. I went to the lake the other day to just run my motor and only saw about 50 or so. Teal are the most finicky ducks, gone at the slightest breeze.
