Didn't see the live but yesterday I noticed several dead fish around umphrey. 3 we're over 5# and several around 3#. Maybe it's just me, but I put these pros at a higher level than you and I. They should have the ability to take care of these fish. Water temps were in the low 80's so that wasn't the issue.
In my opinion that is unacceptable. Give it a couple more days and more fish will be showing up dead.
It's not their pond so to them it's not an issue. On to the next one.

My two cents, its just to warm to be tournament fishing with a normal weigh in format and some probably didn't prep their livewells like they should have. I fished the BFL at Lake O' the Pines this year in June and the pro I fished with took the time to get his livewells ready for hot weather before we were released with our flight. He brought plenty of ice to keep them cooled off and treated his water and the boat being what we fished out of it probably had an oxygen generator system as well. TRX21 Triton with all the bells and whistles.

Standing in line for over an hour for a bag didn't help. Lots of big ones lost unfortunately.

the way they counted live fish were when they pulled up an checked in if they were alive they were counted as live fish if you watched the weigh in the guy would announce 5 alive the fishes eyes were glazed an no movement there were a lot of fish that died in this tournament if they are going to come to tx an use the resources they need to take better care of the fish . standing in a weigh in line for over an hour is unacceptable an it doesnt matter who is getting paid.

Ive never understood why they don’t try to have an on the water weigh in. Boat pulls up to a dock fish are weighed and released. Straight from the live we’ll go the water or revive tank. It would be pretty easy to do on most lakes with big marinas.

Go to MLF format in every league. That will fix it.

the reason they dont have them on docks is because you couldnt get spectators up close it it would be done a lot faster an they wouldnt string it out so they could get the gozillon ads in that they charge folks for.

It would be pretty easy to do on most lakes with big marinas. They did that on Table Rock for day one and two. Cost me a new boat! Cull clip broke pulling out a 4 pounder on day one. It flopped right off the back of the boat and back to the water. Weighed in short one fish on day one and wound up 4th on the final day....about 3 pounds out of 1st. If the boat was on dry land when I pulled out my fish, I would have led wire to wire.

Maybe it's just me, but I put these pros at a higher level than you and I. Calling yourself a Pro or paying high entries doesn't make you a pro, and most of the Opens participants are certainly not pros. Probably less than 10% fit that category in this field. Don’t weigh dead fish might be a good start.

It's not their pond so to them it's not an issue. On to the next one. When the water temp in your live well is 80 deg. your fish will start to go downhill quick if they were caught in deep water or when running a rough lake. Most fish die from exhaustion- stress of fighting to right themselves because of overinflated swim bladder. Need to monitor water temp in live well. Add ice when needed. Keep it below 80 All it takes is a couple bags of ice in a separate cooler, H2 peroxide, and some please release me. Some fin clips or know how to use needle. Majority of people will not do it.

You have just as good a chance of one jumping out of your livewell when you open it.

There were all kinds of visible issues on the live feed and the weigh in feed, audio, technical and I guess logistics with the weigh in. Its obvious the opens aren't the fined tuned machine the elites are, BASS looked bad this weekend
