Apparently birds have brought in Rio Grande perch into our 12 acre pond.

My nephew's friend caught one a top water lure.

Are they good to eat?? I do believe that we need to remove them as much as possible from the pond.

They are good to eat. Taking them out is a personal preference, depending on your management goals for the pond.

Good to eat and provides diversity of forage. I'd like to have some in my ponds but so far they haven't taken hold in East Texas.
