Normally we're fishing for Whites & Hybrids in September, but with all the recent rains (Over 12 inches) in the past few weeks, the Whites have been tough to find and the Catfish are eating! So, we've loaded the boats with Danny Kings Punch Bait and the Catfish Rods and fished for Catfish on all our trips this past week. We're fishing in the Crab Creek area and the Richland Chambers Creek near and in timber. Fish are anywhere from 15'-25' FOW and will often be suspended so you need to experiment to find the magic depth. We're catching a lot of small fish but mixed in with them are some nice Keeper Blues and Channels. We always chum with Range Cubes and fermented Scratch. Catfishing will only get better from this point on into the Fall/Winter with both Size and Quantity getting better and better! Check us out at www.gonefishin.biz and give us a call! Here's a few Pics from this past week's trips. cool

I throw out Range Cubes and fermented Grain at spots we fish at. Takes about 15 minutes to draw in the Cats if they're around.

When does the big Blue cat bite normally fire up? Late October, early November? Depending on water temps, I'm sure....but typically, what relative time?

Trophy Cat fishing best in Winter thru March timeframe . It's all catch & release on RC as there's a slot on Big Blues. We di just Eater Size fishing but catch an occasional Big One. 😊

Thx! I catch and release anything over 6 or 7 lbs anyway. My favorite for cleaning is a 3 to 5 lb window.

Managed to get in five trips last week as we had a brisk North Wind most days, a little more rain one day and overall Fall Like mornings on RC! Lake is at Full Pool with Spillway Gates finally closed, water clarity good and water temperature around 80 degrees. We stayed with the Catfish on every trip this week as the Whites and Hybrids are not to be found easily. We moved out to the deeper water (20'-25' Feet) along the Richland Creek Channel and fished in or near timber. All fish caught on DK's Blood Punch Bait. LOTS of little Blue & Channel Cats but on every trip we managed enough Keeper Eaters for Customers to have several nice Fish Frys. We also had a couple of BIG FISH we just couldn't turn and they broke off. Guess it's getting time to go to the 20 lb. test line! noidea I have a boat open on Wednesday & Thursday of this week and it looks very fishable after some early Week rain. As we move into Fall, the quality will only get better and the quantity is always good! Check us out at www.goneffishin.biz and Let's Go Fishin'! Here's a few Pics from last week:
