Its not close but I swear by these guys. Didn't like the place I was taking my cat that was closer to me and have been using this place ever since.

Animal House on Harwood in Bedford. Dr. Peterien
Tara Village Animal on Cheeksparger in Bedford, voted #1 in metroplex past several years
Banfield on 35 & Heritage Trace. Dr. Garrett, Dr. Parker or Dr. HEARD.
No other Banfields or VCA Clinics. I'm in 15 different vet offices a day. Of the 3 I mentioned, I personally go to the Banfield at Heritage trace Garrett & Parker are country folks

Can’t beat Alvarado Animal Clinic. The best around. They have several vets in office not just one vet and are very reasonably priced.

Take him to Towne Center Animal Hospital on Colleyville Blvd just down from Glade road. Ask for Dr Johnson. He is an incredible vet and will be very honest and fair with you. My dog developed seizures and he worked tirelessly to figure out what was wrong. When I found the prescribed medication cheaper at Costco he told me to buy it. He will spend all the time with you on the phone that you require.

I had my wife's Yorkie more or less do the same when he was a pup. Vet said tore his knee joint. Going to cost $2500 with no guarantees. I said nope, that dog is very young he will make it or won't. He limped around a while and slowly got better. It is starting to bother him some now that he is old but so are my joints. I bet if you can keep him off it a few days he will start to heal up.

Hard keeping him down.

Well. the news is not so good. I have heard back from two of the doctors that i sent x rays , One doctor wont touch him. The other suggest amputation.
I am not going to make a decision till Monday. Still looking for some kind of hope.

It’s a pup not a child. If some doctors won’t touch him it’s bad. Cut your losses and get another pup. I don’t know what kind of pup it is but it will never be worth whatever your going on have to put into it. Long term the pup may never be right.
