I would use whatever they specify in the instructions and KEEP YOUR RECEIPT(S) while the unit is under warranty, just in case.

I would not go cheap on this, you fill it once and rarely even have to top off after that. I would use the Seastar oil made for it....

Sea star uses. Wait for it. Mystik 30W non-detergent hydraulic oil. Same stuff you buy at NAPA. If you think it’s some special voodoo oil you’re easily influenced.
