At work in Dallas. After the first plane hit, We rolled a TV in the breakroom and most of us watched it the rest of the day.

Wife was not working and I had the day off. We were having coffee in bed with the TV on. It was surreal.

Working. I was just North if Decatur on a Govt. lake putting a transmission back into a Scraper that was working on a dam restoring project. I had the door open on my truck listening to the radio and heard the news. When I finished I went to our shop and the parts guys had a TV in there one of them went home and got watching the news unfold.

I was a newly promoted Major at the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth. My quad was in a lecture in Eisenhower Hall on Life Cycle Management. The slides came down and the CNN came on, just as the second plane hit. My buddy sitting next to me predicted that he and I would spend the majority of the rest of our careers deployed. He was right, between us we did 12 tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I was working at the Lackland Commissary as a meat cutter, and on the bandsaw cutting steaks when our manager walked in and stopped everyone and announced that the tower had been hit, and it was like WTF! Went to the break room and watched on TV as the second plane hit the second tower. There was no doubt then what was happening! Remember someone saying, "Oh brother, it's ON NOW!
Just one more cast!

Selling beer on a route in Addison and Buckingham. Pretty much every beer/liquor store had a tv on the counter watching what was happening. I'll never forget that day.
