Goodell is a puppet now, he's taking the NFL down wrong path, but they've been going that way for a while now. This stuff is going to create more division IMO. It's not mandatory, the players can put stuff on their helmet or not, and they get to pick whatever they want. It's only going to cause more issues, rumor is that Drew Brees will be having that name on his helmet in game 1. Walton and Johnson and other radio shows are torching his [censored] on a regular basis down here. I'm hearing there's a big movement down here to completely boycott the Saints, and there were mini riots here when Brees made his first, and right statement about kneeling. Crowds down here were chanting "F*** Brees". He caved. Sure. I will watch. I don’t care for politics much anyway. I just don’t understand folks that enjoy getting all worked up all the time over stupid stuff. Vote how you want. Live your life. Don’t make yourself miserable. But, I know a bunch of y’all do. Knock yourselves out.
If it gets too political for my tastes, or bothers me, I won’t watch.
But, I also don’t believe some of y’all. Not that I really care. I just expect to see a bunch of y’all arguing on cowboys threads about games that you supposedly don’t watch.
Couldn't have said it any better. We all get to choose what offends us. Taking a knee doesn't make the cut for me. I almost sorta kinda agree with both of you, but I don't. when I see a lie being used to further an anti american cause and group I refuse to participate in any way, shape or form, I'm funny that way. lets see someone ask one of the kneelers (or all of them) to name ONE black person that was shot that had complied when stopped, one that did not resist and try to fight leo, name just one that was shot after being stopped for no valid reason. sorry, politics be damed, but these overpaid morons are backing a marxist organization, spewing lies about racism that does not exist and then choosing to kneel just for our national anthem, why not at halftime, how about 5 mins. after the game? where are they in the streets as well, when was the last time one of them was out protesting either peacefully or not? I;m with Hop 100% They're supporting the organization that killed 5 Dallas cops. I'll never forget that and the sub human pieces of dark age $#!+ on 911.
