 HDS gen 3 12 screen dimmer on one right side....

My 12” HDS GEN 3 seems dimmer on the right side than the left no matter if I am viewing chart, sonar, downscan, or sidescan.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any recommendations.

I have not seen the issue you describe on a fish finder but I do work on LCDs for a living.
If the issue is always there and totally independent of what's on the screen, it is most likely a backlight issue in the display hardware.
Not a software or settings issue. It is not something you should try and fix yourself.
If you send the unit off for repair, they will most likely replace the display or the entire unit.
No idea what the cost might be for a repair.
