My wife gave me a new Loomis Conquest 843C MBR last Father's Day and I can feel a shad fart from 20 feet away in a 25 mph wind. I have a 782C Conquest and it is my favorite rod by far, even better than my NRX and GLX sticks. I toss weightless Senko/Dinger types with it and the sensitivity is amazing. But they retail for over 6 bills. Not the rod for Everyman.

Don’t waste your money on the SLX DC, a friend bought one and he backlashes it frequently, get a Curado HG K you’ll love it. I had 6 Curado K reels and sold all of them. Just didn't like them. Let me edit that. I had 5 curado K reels. I kept one of them and my wife uses it. I had two in the 6-1 gear ratio that I had issues with. The 7-1 gear ratio Curado K's were fine. I have no idea why they were different but they were. I really like the 2020 Tatula Elites so I sold the K's and got the Tatulas.

Take a look at the Metanium as well, that's what all my NRX rods have on them. This or at a minimum a Bantam MGL. A $550 rod deserves a quality reel.

Do you feel like the DC reels decrease your pitching distance a bit?

I have a couple of Curado DC reels and I use them for long distance casting and I really like them for that. I use them for 3/4oz jigs, and swing heads in the same weight and have them on identical Power Tackle rods. I really like them for that. I use other reels for pitching.
