Staying in Sea Isle Oct. 9-11. and hoping to book a morning trip for me and my wife, if itโ€™s not too late. Would appreciate any suggestions. Would it be worth surf fishing around Sea Isle? Iโ€™m still green to saltwater.

Oct is a good time for surf fishing in Galveston. west end is some of the best. really need to go closer to San Luis Pass because of the people problem. gets crowded sometimes. call ahead to the Sea Isle Marina and get one of the local guides to go with for bay fishing. they fish that area full time and will be on the fish pretty well. good luck.

If you're looking to hire a guide, check out Glenn Stevens. He knows west bay pretty well: http://www.fishcoastal.com/

What kind of fishing are you looking to do? I grew up in Bay Harbor (2 min away from Sea Isle), so I know the area quite well.

Did a 1/2 day jetty trip with Wave Dancer in June. Had a blast. Next time I'm in Galveston I'll book with them again.
