Frank, Gene ,George and I decided to hit Tawakoni Sunday Morning. When we got out there it was humid and foggy. We checked several places and it was slow for us. We finally ended up where all the boats were and we mostly saw the people trolling were catching. Then about 10 am everyone left and the fish started to get active. We stayed there for the next 4 hours and boated over 100 sand bass. I caught a sand bass that was 16 7/8 inches. Had to be close to 2 pounds. BUT!! that is not all,, We caught 20 legal hybrid and had about 10 shake the hook and come off. WHAT A DAY!!. We went in to eat a burger at Duck cove and cool off. We came back out and it had slowed down but we did get another 50 or so sand bass and two more hybrid. Gene was hot today and got 10 hybrid, But everyone got to catch some big fish. Saw Seapro Todd out there and heard he did pretty good too. Great to see you Todd. Dropped Frank off at his dock with 5 hybrid to clean and Gene George and i wet to state park and cleaned the rest. It took an hour Any way had a blast guys ready to go again.

It just does not get any better than that! The Archers and the arrows were on target today. Man we were in the zone. The catching zone. And the sand bass are like on fish steroids or something here. That monster you caught was probably the biggest sand bass I have ever seen. Sometimes you are at the right place at the right time. We sure were. In honor of the Dream Team on Hubbard. Dream Team 2.0. Tawakoni! Was a blast. Looking forward to next week. Am sore today. But it sure feels good!

Hi Dennis, Thanks , The fish are getting aggressive and getting shallow. Franks friend makes these slabs and we call it the " BoBlade ". It seems to really get a reaction strike from the fish. About like the Mepps. Hope to see you out there soon.

Wohoo what a day of catching. I was there but left early and only caught sandies. The Dream Team making it look easy when many were trolling I think someone said it aint easy making look easy. Good job!

Mark Bovee of Rockwall is a lure scientist. He always inventing, tweaking to make better mouse traps. I was next to Joe Read and Joe was throwing the BoBlade also.
