Spent a little time on Meredith yesterday in the tube. Had a window of time about 2 hrs long that was supposed to be calm and then the wind was coming. So I got some worms and hit the lake. I had only been there a few minutes and got this:

That's my first bass on the lake. He hit a piece of crawler fished weightless as it was dropping. I wasn't after bass but he was kind of fun. I got into the gills but the bite wasn't as good as it was on previous trips. I'm guessing about 30 fish came to hand. No monsters, just a bunch of 6-8 inch fish. I kept a few for supper:

I also got 3 channel cats. Since I was looking for some fish for the pan, the cats would have been good but I turned them loose. I made kind of a rookie mistake on them since I thought they had to be 15 inches long to be legal and the ones I got went about 14 inches. Later I actually read the regs for the lake and they only have to be 12 inches there. So I turned some tasty fish loose. But I had some gills so it was all good.

Cheers Y'All.
