Looking for advice.....I have found a used older model from the mid 90's ....Cajun Center Console boat for a reasonable price, in very good running condition and am thinking of buying it, but someone stated, that I should stay away from Cajun boats because they dont have good resale value compared to Ranger, Nitro, Skeeter or some of the other brands....just looking for input as to the quality and resale value of these types of boats....Thanks to all

I’d be very very careful. Those Travis boats were built with no corner left uncut. Plain plywood decks and floors, plywood transom and stringers do not make for a happy long term relationship. And they ride like poo. Only worse I’ve ever been in was a redfin.

Thank you.....I wasnt really too worried bout resale, Im really more about a good boat for fishing....also, this is a 16 1/2 ft center console with a 60hp Johnson.....do you think thats going to be enough to move the boat at a decent clip....not looking for a cigar boat motor, but just want a decent motor to move the boat....

It’ll be ok but you sure don’t want a cancer case.
Get a big plastic handled screwdriver. Use the handle to tap around the transom, floors and decks. You should hear a nice clear knock. Dead thud is waterlogged. You don’t want any part of that.

What Pat said and inspect every inch of the floor, if there is any soft spots they usually occur in the area closest to the stern. If the stringers were fiberglassed, I would walk away.
Boats are like Strippers. They work until you quit throwing $100 bills at them.
