I ran over to Lake Granbury with my Jon boat to do some fly fishing. I was hoping to find some carp, but there were none around. I ended up with about ten bluegill to 8 inches and one small catfish. Big boats started coming in for a Trump parade, so I cut my trip short. Boat wakes were making boating pretty iffy for my little Jon boat.

Nice gills on the fly. Good job.

Side Note: A "Boat Parade" has to be added to an anglers problem while on the water! nuts

1. Wake Boats
2. jet fleas
3. Ski Boats
4. Boat Parades.

bang

Those are my freedom fly reels. I got them on eBay about 20 years ago. They were $0.99 with 2.99 shipping. I bought about 30 of them. After giving some away, selling them, etc, I think I have 6 left. I fish with 3 of them all the time in freshwater. The drags are sealed and great. All of them have caught lots of records. roflmao

I was really glad I got off the water and did not join in with the parade. My wife and I watched the parade from the shore. The waves were 3 to 4 feet easy. I saw a kayak get completely overtopped. My Jon boat would not have had a chance. I heard 4 boats sank on lake Travis during a parade.

Nice cathes. thumb Too bad you had to cut your fishing trip short. Parades should be kept on the streets. Ruins it for those that are there for fishing.
