Fished Fayette yesterday from daybreak til 2 pm. Got up at 3:30 to check out the weather & it was pouring in La Grange, so guessed that it would be over by the time I got there. Ended up to be the perfect day...not too hot or windy with the perfect sky for making videos. Set up the Go Pro and commenced to fishing. Water temp was down to 89-90 degrees & slightly above full pool. Ended up with a couple bass, one Gaspergoo & around 150-180 sunfish. Got a lot of nice Red Ear on this trip. Didn't get any GIANTS this trip because Doc (good luck charm) was off doing "chores". All fish caught on the Gulp Alive Minnows, and all fish released. Took 3 hours of video & cut it down to around 14 minutes. At the start of the video I took some footage at Oak Park Thicket (from the boat) to show some of the improvements they are making around the lake. Also note that there is only one truck in the parking lot besides mine...Just the way I like it ! Fayette 9-4-2020

Nice post and yet another nice video. That has to be the stillest water I have seen on Fayette! Hope to make it out there this year but my time is running out. To many other places to fish. As always you bring the GREATNESS out of the great outdoors. Again GREAT post. Side Note: How would you rate the early fall bite?

Laker...Launched at Oak Thicket this trip because it was closer to the areas I fish if a quick dash was needed to avoid thunderstorm.
Chuck...Well, I wouldn't really call this "fall" yet...more like "late summer"...but either way the bite has been excellent...expect it to last for about a month then go downhill fast. Hope Fayette does not have a big fish kill like last year...
Thanks Yesenia for the reply...

Thank you so much for the very nice, high quality videos. Your rod action also looks very good. Is that a 6' St. Croix ultralight rod?

Larryvt...It is a St Croix rod...but it is the 5' 6" Legend Elite panfish rod...fast action version. Best rod I have ever owned.

Thanks Yesenia for the reply... The times I do go to Fayette I have always launched at Oak Thicket. Nice park. Even got nicer with the repairs and upgrades so I have been reading on past post.
