Going to work yesterday morning @ 4:30 in the rain . (I don't see very well when it's dark and rainy.) Ran over what I assumed was road kill . Stopped at the turn and heard what sounded like an injured dog screaming . Turned out to be a small wild pig ( ~20 lbs) . I've heard goats and hogs hollar when they're slaughtered but they never sounded like that .
Is that normal or did I hit a 'yote feeding on a pig carcass ?

lil ones have a loud and weird squeal when injured.
have heard them when the yotes get one out here, pork sushi for mr. yote.

I hear them all the time. They run the creek right by the house. It will stand the hair up on your neck during a 1am outdoor tinkle break.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.
If you put beans in your chili, you don't know beans about chili.

Try a screech owl about 50 feet away when you are waist deep in water and it's so pitch black dark you can't see your hand a foot in front of your face.
I had a shotgun with me but I couldn't see anything to aim at. .
