Burnt Jacksboros bonfire night before their homecoming Was only three of us and we were chased by about 50 Straight through the timber in dead of night we ran for our lives Until we came across the state prison out there. Spotlights and guns drawn on us. Luckily we had a few on our side working in there and we got snuck out. Coulda been shot pretty easy. Funny how many times I’ve almost been shot or even been in shootouts and never lived in a city

Had a cousin in Northeaster Oklahoma that I got in trouble with. We would get on top of the equipment shed and take barbwire and walk to the edge of the shed and hit the red wasp nests under the eave, the run to the other side. Sometimes that wasn't far enough and we got stung, he ended up in the hospital. Another time I was told to not leave his house but to stay with him. One of his friends came by then the friends sister and wanted to go to Spring Creek to swim. Well I wasn't staying home alone and went with them. Mom and Dad got ready to head back to Texas and I couldn't be found. They tracked us down to the creek, thought I was going to bet a beating. I was so sunburnt (second degree) that I just got grounded for 2 weeks. Dang clear water let me burn all the way down to my ankles.

If you decide to hide in the bushes and egg cars as they drive by on Halloween, check and make sure it’s not a police car!!!
Thanks, Billy

Here are a few (there are more). I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago (near Lake Michigan). I the summer we went down to the beach pretty much everyday. There was a family there who had a long pier (Taylor's pier) that went out into the lake. One day we go the bright idea to build a ramp at the end of the pier and ride our bikes off the pier jumping into the lake. I was the first to try it. Just as I jumped I thought, how am I going to get me bike back. Next thing I know, SPLASH and my bike was gone in about 12-15 feet of water. I spent maybe the next hour trying to swim down to my bike to tie a rope to it. Finally found it and we pulled it up. Learning from my mistake, I tied a rope to my bike and the other end to my wrist. I jumped again. Guess what, the G.D. bike tried to drown me. Had to untie to rope from my wrist so I would not drown. The line floated about five feet under the surface so we just made the line longer and would kick the bike away as we jumped and then pickup the floating line to pull our bikes out to the water.
Second thing, we had a tree in you yard that hung over the street. Friends and I got the idea to drop water balloons onto passing cars. It worked! We would drop the balloon and cars would stop and the driver would look around but never up. We dropped a balloon on a convertible with a guy driving and his "chick" in the passenger seat. Hit her right in the face drenching her. The guy slams on his breaks and looks right up at me in the tree. He puts it in reverse and I literally jumped out of the tree and into our bush (scrapped the [censored] out of myself) and took off running. He followed for a while but I knew every short cut through back yards for blocks and got away. Last time we did that.

Took the lead out of 22 shells and dropped hot wax in the casing to make blanks. Shot my brother in the back, dang it raised a whelp. Thankfully it didnt penetrate the skin Worst whooping I ever got was when I was about 9 and older sister by 15 years gave me a spanking. I was more mad than hurt, and when she walked by I slapped her on the butt as hard as I could. Big mistake. She yanked me up and wore my little butt plumb out. I cried then from real pain. Had a Lineman on our H.S. football team we called Cooler. We would drive around the backroads looking for oilfield trucks, he would ride on the bumper holding on to the tailgate jump off and run up to their trucks and swipe their coolers. It wasn't at all uncommon to end up with 8-10 coolers and enough beer and liquor to get the whole team blitzed. I honestly don't think I had to actually buy a beer until college. I laugh and cuss myself because I now keep the cooler in the back of my truck under lock and key. Damn kids...

I used to put shotgun shells in my dads vice and hit them with a hammer. Also would put a coffee can on bumble bee nest, beat it like drum, fall back a few paces and shoot off with a BB gun.... Still here.
What yall got ? When I was probably 7 or 8, my friend Brad and I (my parents called him Bad Brad and hated him), took a box of .22 LR ammo out and decided to beat it with a hammer in the street. A couple whacks with the hammer and everything went silent, save for a ringing in my ears. Apparently that hit was a success. I looked down at my tan Osh Kosh pants or whatever my folks had me dressed in those days, and saw them soaked in blood. I had shot myself in the f'n knee. I've done some dumb stuff, but that was, by far, my personal pinnacle of idiocy. Glad to know that I'm not the only bullet smacker out there. At least you put your shells in a vice.

I took some of my dads 30-30 shells and tried as hard as I could to get them to go off by throwing them against pavement. I was probably 8 or so. When I was a bit older I discovered what could be done with a 2 liter bottle and the right concoction of chemicals. We used to put those in mail boxes and stand there like idiots with an old school camcorder filming the process. Full on stupid.

Cutting the plastic off a 12 gauge shell and emptying all the wad, powder and lead and placing on top of a bb gun and shooting. Primer went in my friend's shoulder. We didn't tell anybody of course and it healed up and stayed in there for a few years until he fell on it playing basketball and it got infected. Doctor and his mom didn't know what it was.

One time we filled up a pumpkin with about 2 gallons of gasoline and made a giant Molotov cocktail. Threw it off an old railroad bridge into a dried up old creek bed. That was fun.
