Great looking lures. What wood do you like to use. I have been using balsa with a thru wire which is, as you know, a bit of a pain. I assume you are using screw eyes for attachments/line attachment?

I make these out of bass wood, and do use 3/4” screw eyes that are epoxied in. My baits range from 1.5-3” and I haven’t had an issue with hardware. Bass wood is the only wood I’ve worked with and like it so far for everything I’ve made. You can get a lot of baits out of one board.

Well done!

I did a couple of crappies in the new shape I’ve been working on over the weekend.

I finally got around foiling a bait. First time for me to “silver leaf” a bait. I like the imperfections of the foil. This is also handmade from bass wood.

Resin Glide bait

Balancing the lure took some work, but satisfied with how it moves

Very nice!

Also did a crappie, rainbow trout, and a gizzard shad
The crappie was tricky with Rustoleum rattle cans
Will dust off my compressor and airbrush at some point
