When I was fishing a ton pre NAPA so pre 2015 , LC was a major "go to" for myself and a lot of guys. The RC's were drying up but the TO was the same quality and they were in the low teens pricewise.
Now in 2020 I am getting back into fishing more and LC is half the price and I am starting to assume half the quality. Since they seem to break easily.
Did they sell and go cheapo or something ?

The quality is still pretty dang good! I have been fishing the KJ cranks and never had one break on me, also never broke a lucky craft crankbiat but have broke a few sammy's slapping them on the water but not the baits fault at all...

The new ones run well. They don’t track as well as the originals at a high speed. The biggest difference is the old ones cast better. The plastic seemed more dense. Both will out fish any other brand of plastic square bills.

I put new bearings in my cranking reels the other night thinking the whole deal felt off. I sure they were due tho ancient stuff

The old RC's just caught fish. Not sure if the new ones are as good. They did something to it to cut the price in half, but I still use them and still catch fish on em. I still have a few of the old ones I break out from time to time

I just bought about 200 worth of the “newer” BDS 3 and compared it to the older BDS 3 only difference I can find is weight. Both run pretty much the same on a 6.3 reel and both catch fish.

Both will out fish any other brand of plastic square bills. That's a pretty confident statement...

I have one of the original RC nip, it is a 1.5 and is in the MS Crack color. The catch is I’m afraid to use it so it doesn’t do anything, if I recall right they were $15.99 each.
