Hello all. We’ve recently moved to the Atascosita area, and I’m looking for advice on the better places to bank fish Lake Houston and/or San Jacinto River. Ideally, I could put a couple of bait rods out and throw artificial while waiting. Thanks for any guidance.

Put two poles out with catfish bait into rod holders on bank, grab something cool to drink, sit in chair, turn on music, wait. You might catch something.

Be safe,

The white bass will turn on in the upper creeks feeding the San Jac around Thanksgiving, then they continue til around mid March. That is best fishing around here. I see lots fishing under 59 when I make the U turn but not sure if they are catching. It is deep right under 59 but shallow on both sides. Pct 3 is supposed to build a big park there at some point which will make for some better bank fishing.
