Trying to learn deep water fishing. Was on PK yesterday and found some trees or brush in like 60-80+ feet of water. Didn't try the spot yesterday, but curious if you catch them that deep?

This time of year, too deep is normally established by the thermocline if one is present.

Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

Just learning the graph but couldn't tell that there was one. Anyone know on PK?

Anything over 20 feet is zero fun for me.

Yeah got on a solid jig bite in about 20-25' a couple weekends ago. Didn't catch any giants, but caught several 3's and 4's where we struggled to catch a 14" fish in less than 10'.

Catching those fish in 20-25' was horrible.

No need to get sarcastic about it. I've fished as deep as anyone over my 60+ years of fishing, but I have my preferences. I'm sure you don't though ........ rolleyes

What don’t you like about it? For real, I don’t know either way when it comes to bass fishing.

All my fish yesterday were in 10-15’

If they are deeper than 30’ then they are there to get away from the fishing pressure, you can find fish much shallower than the depths where the Loch Ness monster hides!
God luck!

We catch decent blues in 60 feet on Pk, depending on barometer

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

In the summer, I catch lots of bass at 25 feet. Oxygen levels can be low deeper than that in the summer. In the winter, I have caught them at 65 feet.

They get deep in the winter at Lake Athens, caught them in 35ft one day under balls of shad on the bottom.

Come on man, was a joke.

I do have my preferences. I’d much rather be pitching those jigs in 3-4’.

But if I believe the better fish are in 20+, that’s where I’m gonna fish. Have never caught a fish and said it was zero fun.

I heard a story from an "old timer" about killing big bass fishing in 60ft+ water by reeling them in too fast and the pressure change killed the fish almost instantly. I try to keep fish alive for the next person unless they are crappie or catfish
