I am trying to enter some gps coordinates in my Garmin SV73

The manual was no help at all

The Garmin has north and south. The coordinates has Latitude and longitude. And it has "DD and DMS. How would I put these coords in?

Latitude is your N/S coordinates and Longitude is the E/W coordinates.

DD = Degrees/Decimal Degrees

DMS= Degrees/Minutes/Seconds with decimal seconds sometimes

The other GPS co-ordinate format is DD MM MMM= Degrees/Minutes/Decimal Minutes

The Habitat co-ordinates you show are the first two types. Pick the one that matches your unit setting.

I must be stupid.

I am using the DMS..

I am m trying to put in Habitat 1.
I select N
I put in 32
I put in 42
I started putting in the 568 and it went to W .I ran out of room
Do these coordinates look too long?

They all start with 32. So I thought maybe I didn't need to put the 32.
That didn't work either
Do I need to put the longitude?

yes W -97 11 58.9

only enter one decimal place at the end. Do not round, just drop the last numbers
