Has anyone here ever fished out of a Blazer Bay 2420? I am looking for a Rayburn boat that can double duty as a crappie boat and a bass boat. I have found a decent deal on one but it is a several hundred mile drive to check it out. Really what I would love to know is if someone here has first-hand experience and would say 'don't do it.'
Thanks.

Have not fished out of the 2420 but have fished out of the 2220 many times. Great boats, smooth ride, big open deck on the front, lots of storage, will tow just fine behind a half ton, a T-top on that is a helpful addition, the front and back livewell are good if you bait fish at all. My biggest advice would be to make sure it has enough horsepower, anything less than a 250 will likely be underpowered, it will benefit you if the boat comes with two cranking batteries, and if it doesn’t have a 100+ lb thrust trolling motor with 3 batteries you’ll probably be looking for one soon.

The 2420 gts is a great boat. We own a 2220 gts and have nothing but good things to say. The above opinion is right regarding horsepower, you’ll want as much as you can get. The one thing I’ll say is stay away from the bubble console unless the entire console is elevated. They can be tough to see from. My distaste for the bubble console is an opinion but I think it hurts fish ability.
